Early Childhood Educator in Toronto, Ontario

Greetings everyone! As a highly dedicated teacher with more than 3 years’ experience in the education domain, I am adept in a physical as well as a virtual classroom instruction setting, curriculum development and instruction plans, and parent-teacher relations. Until most recently, I had been employed as a homeroom teacher for JK at a private school and had been efficiently conducting voluntary online classes via zoom consistently since April, 2020 until the end of June, 2020. Currently I'm a part time tutor for an academy teaching grades Pre-K-3 via online zoom classes, looking forward to a full-time opportunity. My past experiences include being a private tutor at home for over a year teaching English to classes 1-9 (ages 6-15), and have also been a part of nonprofits and non-government organisations (NGOs) where I've imparted education, conducted counselling sessions for parents and children, program planning, volunteered for camps, etc. for a diverse age group! My hands-on experience has offered me a balanced skill set; including exceptional conflict resolution and problem-solving abilities, and these diverse foundations have given me a very broad outlook, with varying degrees of knowledge in a range of topics. I'm highly proactive, compassionate and versatile, someone with formal education in Law, Journalism and Cyber law. I possess well-honed communication skills, refined over the course of a five-year career as a lawyer, copywriter at a designTech agency working across digital, print, film and offline media providing integrated communication strategies to its clientele, and a freelancer. I'm also skilled in presentation composition, graphic design tools like PowerPoint and Canva, and in producing engaging, articulate audience presentations. In terms of organisational and leadership skills I've organised a national moot court competition for 3 years consecutively and decently lead the national moot court competition. During my time as a practising lawyer working at an MNC and at the nonprofits, I've had several opportunities to mentor interns and junior associates. Additionally, I've had some relevant childcare experience over the past year and a half, Emergency First-Aid & CPR-C, WHIMS and Anaphylaxis (AICHI) certifications and can obtain a clear VSC as well as necessary immunizations (if required). I possess advanced native proficiency in English, Hindi, Gujarati. Today, I believe that I'm prepared to channelise my human, conceptual and analytical skills in a manner that are the most logical extension of my past experiences and justly mature into tiny steps towards achieving synergistic future objectives.
