Early Childhood Educator in Hamilton, Ontario

I have worked with Children of all ages from working at the YMCA childcare center\'s to running a small successful home daycare business where I cared for infants and toddlers including my beautiful daughter! I adore children and love finding new and exciting ways to help them learn and grow. I do believe that children learn through play as well as healthy diet and exercise to keep their bodies and minds alert and energized. I feel it is imperative to praise children for good behaviour and use positive reinforcement to encourage positive behaviour! \r\n\r\nI love to involve the children in messy sensory activities that allow them to experience hands on learning that promote the use of their fine and gross motor skills. I also love to get the children involved in fun outdoor activities that keep them active and that allow them to use their imaginations while learning about nature. Being a positive, outgoing, creative person around the children I feel is great way to show them how bright their futures can be! I volunteered with the Hamilton Association for Community living in 2001 and then worked for the company at a special needs home called the Charlton house. It was a pleasure working for them as I got to create fun activities to keep the children active along with strategic games to help promote the specific skills of each child.
