Early Childhood Educator in Brantford, Ontario

In highschool, I worked in the Infant, Junior and Senior Classroom. In my PSW training, I worked at Sunnyview P.S in a classroom of middle school aged children with special needs, ranging from various degrees of Cerebral Palsy, Spinal Bifida and Seizure Disorder. In my Early Childhood Education placements (three placements), I have worked with children ranging in age from 2.5 to 5 years. I am also a Sunday school teacher, in which I work with children from ages 2-4. I have also worked with pre-teens to teens. I have also done community work, In which I have worked with children who have Down Syndrome, Autisim and Musculo Dejenarative Disorder. During this time I learned how to communicate with them through the language of emotions. Most recently, I worked with Erin Oak Kids, where I supported classrooms that had children with various special needs. I assisted the E.C.E's of the classroom with daily routines of the classroom, all while supporting them alleviating some of their stressors that come with having children with special needs in the classroom. I am used to working in group or peer settings and I am able to adapt to various classroom dynamics and diverse classrooms. I am also up to date with "How Children learn" in the classroom.
