Early Childhood Educator in Ajax, Ontario

I have worked in five different ECE areas throughout my education at Fanshawe College. I worked at a for-profit Child Care Center, non-profit center, an ECE in a full-day Kindergarten classroom, employed as an EA at a private Montessori school, and worked as an ECE running a children's curriculum during the summer at women and children's shelter. I have worked with kids of all ages from infant to thirteen. When working at the Montessori school, I was an EA for a child with behavioural issues. The child had a hard time concentrating, was behind in his class and had frequent outbursts. Also, i worked in the JK classroom with a child who has autism and would spend individual time working with him using tools and methods to help him learn and focus to meet his individual needs (using visuals, pictures, toys as props to help count, rather than looking at numbers on a sheet of paper).
